Training
We travel within the areas of western Maryland and Morgantown to provide in-home private training lessons to work with dogs and their owners in the home environment where behavior problems can be observed and addressed.
Board and train options are available for both well-mannered and more difficult cases. You can bring your pup to us and let us build a solid foundation of reliable obedience and instill a communication system that you can move forward with in your home.
We take a pack leader approach to dog training using a system that teaches people to clearly communicate with their dogs. The dog learns different behaviors and through a transformation in their state of mind and they learn how to exist more calmly in the world.
You will see results in the first lesson to show what is possible with your dog!

Note that dog training becomes a part of life with your dog and not something that is completed at the end of a training program. We will work with you to transfer knowledge and provide ongoing support throughout training. However, clients are responsible for learning about and maintaining their dog’s training.
In-home Private Lesson Packages:
4 Lessons – $325
6 Lessons – $475
(Prices include a $25 travel fee for travel to and from your home in the Western MD and Morgantown areas for each lesson and a follow up visit.)
Private lesson package prices include a training lease and long-line. Should additional tools be necessary, we stock and sell a variety of equipment for client convenience, or it may be purchased through a retailer of your choice.
Our in-home dog training lesson packages begin with a two-hour lesson that includes consultation and evaluation of your dog’s behavior. We then start working with you and your dog to identify problem areas and plan to accomplish your goals.
For the remaining lessons we work with you and your dog to teach obedience, address behavior problems and introduce a system of communication that will open a whole new relationship between you and your dog.
We will teach your dog basic obedience commands (come, sit, down, stay, and place) and how to walk politely on leash. In the process we will address behavior problems you may be having (nipping, jumping on people or on food surfaces, lunging, and general rude behavior). We also focus heavily on teaching impulse control to help your dog become calmer.

Consultation:
Consultation Lesson Only – 1 Lesson (approximately 2.5 hours) – $125
(Price includes a $25 travel fee for travel to and from your home in the Western MD and Morgantown areas)
Our consultation can help you with a specific problem you struggle with (e.g. polite leash manners or house manners), or we can help you decide which training program is right for you.
We will assess your dog’s behavior, evaluate the situation and begin working with you and your dog to identify how to help you solve your problems.
Those who continue with a private lesson package will have the consultation count as the first lesson and the full consultation cost will apply to the lesson package.
Should you decide to schedule a board and train program for your dog, the consult fee will go toward your deposit.
Puppy Pre-K Program
Two In-Home Private Lessons for puppies 8-16 weeks old – $175
(Price includes a $25 travel fee for travel to and from your home in the Western MD and Morgantown areas for each lesson and a follow up visit)
Start training your puppy right away with our Puppy Pre-K program. Package includes an assortment of training tools and supplies (a $25 value) to help you guide your puppy’s behavior in a positive direction. Teach your puppy manners and what behaviors are acceptable or unacceptable.
The first lesson is 2 hours long and includes a consultation to go over everything you need when bringing your puppy home, and important steps to take in the first few weeks like housebreaking and socialization. We’ll discuss the dos and don’ts of raising a puppy, and how to prevent playful behavior from becoming bad habits.
The second lesson is 1.5 hours long. We work with you and your puppy to show you how to stop unwanted behavior and how to raise a puppy that respects rules, comes when called, and walks on leash politely.
You may choose to schedule the first lesson before bringing your new puppy home to prepare yourself right from the beginning.
Upon completion of our puppy pre-k program you are entitled to a 10% discount on future private lesson training packages.
